No Hard Feelings Showtimes
No Hard Feelings – Introduction
A sentiment we all must deal with at some point in time in our lives is the ability to take control of our life and stop depending on our close ones. Western countries are sticklers for inducing such moments in a naturalistic manner where most 18-year old’s move out of home for university as compared to Asian countries. The movie I am here to discuss today is a coming-of-age raunchy comedy – No Hard Feelings. No Hard Feelings trailer and movie is available for viewing on Netflix and demonstrates how a socially awkward person battles this sentiment with his crafty and interfering parents. If you are not into raunchy comedies, No Hard Feelings is not your cup of tea or Vermouth. The cast of No Hard Feelings includes Andrew Barth Feldman who enacts the role of romantic and shy Percy; and Jennifer Lawrence and who enacts the role of in-your-face Maddie unfortunately responsible for belling the cat for Percy.
No Hard Feelings Trailer and Story Synopsis
The story of No Hard Feelings unfolds in New York’s go to tourist destination Montauk, home for both Maddie and Percy. Both come from extremely different walks of life with 32 – year – old Maddie struggling to save her mother’s house from being auctioned by bartending at a local bar in the day and Uber driving at night; while 19 – year – old Percy hails from a well to do family and is due to begin university at Princeton. Given Percy’s delicate age his parents played by Laura Benanti (Allison) and Matthew Brodrick (Laird) want him to be worldly wise and gain experience in dating, drinking and parties before he enters the exciting world of college. They advertise to let go of their Buick Regal for free to any good-looking lady who would agree to date Percy, in the sheer hope that this lady works her magic on him and gets him out of his cocoon. In walks Maddie who is on the verge of bankruptcy as she owes taxes on a property she inherits from her mother. When she notices the advertisement for the Buick, she meets Allison and Laird to understand their requirements based on which she agrees to date Percy as she is in desperate need for the car to make ends meet. What follows is a rambunctious but ultimately sweet turn of events which leads to both parties achieving their goals by learning valuable life lessons at every twist and turn of this nauseating roller coaster ride.
Pretty Awkward Romance
Gone are the days of simple, straightforward romance in 21st century movies. Romantic movies today thrive on being different. No Hard Feelings has successfully sold itself by promulgating romance which is unusual and raunchy from its promotion poster and trailer. Audiences looking for a run-of-the-mill love story are going to be highly disappointed with No Hard Feelings. I found myself laughing hysterically in the middle of a mundane Monday afternoon when Percy sprays pepper spray on poor Maddie because he misunderstands her flirting for a kidnapping but ends up leaving from Maddie’s front yard agreeing to a date the next day. The film’s director and writer, Gene Stupnitsky has managed to strike a perfect equilibrium between the lead characters by ensuring that shy Percy conveys his point succinctly in the middle of the mayhem created by Maddie and his parents. There are several instances where I feel sorry for Percy’s character especially when he makes a mistake by having a painkiller shortly after drinking neat Vermouth at a house party. Maddie gets to him in the nick of time by getting him to throw up rather comically but dragging an entourage of party influencers at her heels who unfortunately record this embarrassing incident. Such are the awkward scenes audiences are privy to when watching No Hard Feelings.

Cringeworthy life lessons
Sensitive performances from Jennifer Lawrence and Andrew Barth Feldman is what helped me get over the cringeworthy moments in No Hard Feelings. Jennifer Lawrence has taken immense inspiration from the sensitive roles she played in Winter’s Bone and Silver Linings Playbook as she undergoes a transformation from a loud, boisterous bartender to a kind and sensitive person at the end of No Hard Feelings. Hollywood is home to several senior actors such as Sir Anthony Hopkins who began their acting career through the stage and subsequently went on to earn fame through the cinema screen. Andrew Barth Feldman is the newest kid on the block who is a powerhouse of talent at the mere age of 21. He started his career in acting through the stage in theatrical musical productions of Catch Me If You Can and Dear Evan Hansen which caught the eye of varied screening agents. The role of Percy in No Hard Feelings is complex as it requires sheer sensitivity and finesse to enact such a deep character which is present in ever adaptable stage artists.
Jennifer Lawrence News
Jennifer Lawrence has been in the news recently for undergoing plastic surgery on her face for nose and cheek enhancements. These rumors have been duly quashed by the stunning actress who has attributed her changes as a sign of aging after spending close to 15 years in Hollywood amid then and now pictures of her when she was 19 years old compared to her current pictures where she is 33 years.
Several weeks ago, Jennifer had a wardrobe malfunction at the Saks Light Show where she donned a snazzy Dior suit. Unfortunately, her oopsie moment happened as she began her speech where her loosely tied satin belt came undone and flew off, leaving audiences and herself agog. On the personal front, Jennifer Lawrence has a relatively stable life. She married art gallery director, Cooke Maroney in October 2019 and gave birth to their son Cy in February 2022. She is currently balancing her mothering duties with her career as an actor. Her production stint in Hollywood began with the rambunctious entertainer No Hard Feelings.
Conclusion The mannerism used by Gene Stupinsky to make No Hard Feelings is a scripting brainwave as such movies are perfectly capable of being entertaining or serious. I am glad No Hard Feelings was made as a comedy as audiences need comedy to deal with such a sensitive subject. No Hard Feelings loses points for being over the top raunchy which unfortunately landed the movie an Adult rating for nudity and substance abuse. Personally, I found myself cringing in the middle of the nude scene which could have been avoided. On a closing note, I grant No Hard Feelings a rating of 3.5/ 5 for inducing laughs in an otherwise sensitive and serious movie.

A great review! Very detailed, specific and honest. ☺️
Thank you so much
This is an excellent review of this comedy which actually is a very sensitive coming of age movie.
The life lessons learnt from the older Maddie by the introverted Percy eventually help both to grow and move on to better things.
Thank you so much
